This was a few months back where where lying down on the beach watching the stars looking down upon us was un-ticked in my bucket list.

It was after a treasure hunt out of town. There was dinner, then a prize giving ceremony and the resort had a beach front. We walked for a bit then decided to stay at one spot. and we talked, the talk wasn’t great. I remember the talk vaguely.. but there was a moment I can’t forget. We were lying there, silent but knowing we were both at the same place, looking at the same sky was enough.

and then we went back to the city and acted like it never happened.

I tried to call you. you said you were busy. and there was a girl. and you didn’t say but you had 101 excuses why you couldn’t see me. and then the girl ended. I found out about the girl and I couldn’t talk to you. and now I want to pen this memory so I can forget you.

But sometimes I think, what if we tried? Could we have that moment under the stars…
